toomuchinformation is devoted to promoting our musicals. We, which is Tim Saward and Darren Wayte, write musicals relevant to the twenty-first century, that are comic and accessible, and where thought-provoking and rigorously explored ideas are part of the entertainment value, not a pious add-on. We haven't finished this website yet but you can see our blog, the website (including video) for our in-progress show, Yiff! (about furries, who roleplay as animals online), and we're now embarked on Faithful, about the friendship between a white gay boy and a Muslim girl in West London. We are in the early stages of working on some material themed around atheism, of which we have so far created a song called No Answer (recording above). We are currently looking for a music producer/arranger to be part of the team. Someone who can work with Tim to instrumentalise/sequence our music so that it sounds great with live singers in performances and in the recordings we will release. You will be totally comfortable with contemporary popular sounds, but also have background knowledge of a number of musical traditions (Indian-tradition music is an especial advantage at the moment because of a forthcoming project). We are also interested in hearing from other writers who make contemporary musicals (musicals that couldn't have been written before 2000) . Perhaps we could share this page?
